What do l learn?

A child starts learning as soon as he or she is born.  Children learn very quickly when they are small.  They also learn in a variety of ways BY PLAY, DOING and JUST BEING WITH PEOPLE.   Children have an in-born desire to learn but need to be encouraged and helped to learn.  They LEARN most from PEOPLE THEY KNOW BEST and MOTHER AND FATHER are the first, MOST IMPORTANT teachers.

Parents teach their children all the time they are together when they talk to them, play with them and when they help them to do things.  Even when children start pre-school, they still need to learn at home.

WHEN TEACHERS AND PARENTS WORK TOGETHER,
CHILDREN LEARN MOST

OBJECTIVES OF EARLY LEARNING
  • To ensure the harmonious development of the child.
  • Physical skills and perceptual motor co-ordination.
  • Emotional stability.
  • Social strengths and good relationships with others.
  • A healthy self-concept.
  • Intellectual abilities.

A CHILD NEEDS TO LEARN ALL OF THESE SKILLS TO GROW INTO A HEALTHY AND HAPPY PERSON
The above will be gained through a variety of activities in our PLANNED pre-school programme. In addition to the normal daily programme, we have – MUSIC – GYM – BAKING – SHONA – GREEK – LIBRARY.

CHILDREN LEARN THROUGH ALL THESE ACTIVITIES BECAUSE THEY WANT TO – AND IT’S FUN!!!

CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN AND NOT MINIATURE ADULTS.
